A WEEK TO HONOR MOMS

I have had fun finding all sorts of fun things about Moms and have decided to do a weeks worth of posts on the subject! I hope you find these enjoyable, and good for a laugh along the way. Here are some interesting quotes I found....
****************************************************************************
"A mother is one to whom you hurry when you are troubled."
Emily Dickinson

“A mother's love is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking, it never fails or falters, even though the heart is breaking”.
Helen Rice

“A mother understands what a child does not say."
Unknown

”The mother loves her child most divinely, not when she surrounds him with comfort and anticipates his wants, but when she resolutely holds him to the highest standards and is content with nothing less than his best.”
Hamilton Mable

"Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool Mom."
Marion Garriety

"One of the oldest human needs is having someone to wonder where you are when you don't come home at night."
Margaret Mead

"When it comes to love, Mom's the word."
Unknown

"A mother will take what she is given...and give twice as much in return."
Lynn

"A mother's love is never divided when there is more than 1 child. Magically, her love is multiplied to include them all."
Lynn

"Sometimes the greatest sermon a Mom can preach is to be silent. A wise child will hear her loud and strong."
Lynn

"LOOK! There's your mother! She's she prettiest one up there! And, she's mine!"
Clyde Townsend

Wonderful idea, Tonja. Love the quotes, especially Emily Dickenson. And the shoe cartoon is great.

What a neat thing for you to do for us this week. And by the way, I think we all agree, you are the truest example of a mother's love. And we love you for it.
