A LITTLE MIXED UP

I must say this or bust: there is something terribly WRONG when you enter a store and immediately hear screams and otherworldly sounds, then a few aisles over hearing We Wish You A Merry Christmas coming out of a ferris wheel holding snowmen and Mickey Mouse......Something not quite right about lining one side of the aisle with scary faced jack-o-lanterns and ghouls and the other with Mary and Joseph and Baby Jesus figures huddled together on fake snow......Something out of line with monster masks and pitchforks along side of Christmas cards proclaiming "PEACE ON EARTH".

Something unsettling about checking out at the pharmacy next to a display centered with a RIP gravestone!!!

This made me laugh. You are soooo right! What is it with the world now? Can't we just celebrate one thing at a time. Please!

Hugs!

Christmas stuff comes our earlier every year, I swear. Besides the fact Halloween is still a couple weeks away, who thinks about Christmas when it's 90 degrees outside? Geesh.

I'd take the Baby Jesus and Peace on Earth displays all year long and forget about the Halloween stuff if it were up to me. But I guess it's not.

I know of a number of people who have come out of the occult and they have tremendous spiritual struggles during the Halloween season. I know trick or treating, etc. is fun, but the spiritual background to this holiday isn't fun or funny.

I can't believe it! I think I will stay out of the stores until December! Yeah, right...!

I agree that it's too much at once, but the comment about the RIP gravestone at the pharmacy checkout made me giggle! :-)
