THAT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING...# 25

How would you like to live in this stone cottage in the English countryside? I can just imagine what it would be like, can you? Would you like to see inside? Your wish is my command...Enjoy!

How about a bath in this tub?

I think my dreams would be sweet next to this fireplace...in this bedroom.

This is a place I would love to relax and kick back...would you join me?

A fireplace in the kitchen? How delightful!

I think this is my fav...just me and my books!

*********************************************************************************
As beautiful as this place is...it is not even real! The outside of the house is just a facade built for the movie "The Holiday". I was so shocked! And disappointed.
I would like to think that this place really exists. It is so perfect and exactly like a typical English cottage. Notice the beautiful low stone fence and little gate to enter . Just charming! Another secret...the rooms are not real either...just movie sets. Movie sets!!! Have you ever wanted to live in the movies? I think for sure I could live in this one. "The Holiday" features this house and another one in LA that is very modern. It stars Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslett. The 2 women exchange houses over the Christmas holiday. Check it out on DVD to see both houses better.

Darn! I had my bags all packed, reading to go. Don't you just love all the books, even over the door?

I think all bathtubs should be shaped like that! I loved that movie and I especially loved that English cottage....I thought it looked familiar!

Well, just like the movie...The Holiday, perhaps a place like that exists and you should find it for a holiday. :) It does make me think of Christmas, winter, hot coco, Christmas music, holiday dinner parties, shopping to festive music. Ahhhh, what a refreshing thought. Thanks for taking me to a cool, spot in the middle of July. I am off to go to a little in my room. I'll just pretend I'm in the study with all of those fabulous books. Loved the beautiful post.

I was going to ask..wasn't that the cottage in "Holiday"? geez...makes me feel good and relieved that I'm NOT going crazy and CAN remember some things...

Yes, that is the most charming of charming looking cottages...my heart deflated a bit when you mentioned it was JUST a movie set...surely it was built to resemble something in the English countryside...or at least that's what I'm going to pretend!

Thanks for sharing...I loved that movie, too...so much that when Target puts it in their $10 or less area...I'm so gonna buy it...I like it...but I'm cheap!!
Blessings...

That is a great chick flick. I just might have to bore my husband with it (again!)

I'm so out of it (whatever IT is), I never even saw the movie and can't remember of ever hearing of it. But I do think I'd like to live in it!

I thought I recognized that place-this is one of my favorite movies. I love the LA house, too. All that white furniture! Thanks for the tour through a dream house.
