Just went by to see the house...and We. Have. Wood! Only 1/2 of the foundation is poured, but they are already framing it. Still looks so small...but the builder just laughs at me when I say that.
Looking GOOD!! I know what you mean about the foundation and framing looking small...when my friend built her new home, which is over 4200 sq. ft...I thought IT looked small during the foundation and framing period. Plus with you only having half of the foundation poured...I'm sure the visual impact hasn't really surfaced yet! I guess I may have SCP...a "spacial concept problem"...I don't know...but I "get it" once the walls are up and the sheetrock is in place. Can't help it...I guess there are just certain things I can't visualize!
How thrilling for you guys to have this underway...keep the pictures coming...they are awesome! This will be so much fun watching your home being built...we're still waiting on the architect...so I will have fun watching you build for a while...then once we start we can share pictures AND stories...praying that they are all good!
I watched a home being built near our neighborhood and every time I drove by, I thought how small it looked! It is a huge house, so it can be very deceiving.
My house is nothing compared to what yours is going to be but I LOVED watching them build it. It certainly is a fun and amazing process...Keep us posted...I love the pictures.
I am a Christian woman who has survived 56 years on the planet. God has blessed me with a wonderful family: husband, 3 sons and a dear DIL. I also have dear friends to keep me inspired. I am an artist of sorts and am finding my way through the great blessing of retirement. I recently retired after 20 years as a music teacher.
Life is good!
