Are you in a stressed out state?......

Well it happens to all of us. Everyone has their own individual level of how much stress they can take, and how well (or not so well) they handle stress and pressure.

To determine how much mental stress a person can handle, doctors use a stress test which is made up of these three pictures. Look at each one and see what you notice about them. Don't rush it, give each picture a full 30 seconds. It will help if you will click on each picture separately to enlarge and isolate it.

OK...what did you notice? "Moving", you say? You think the pictures are moving?
Are they moving fast or slow?
WELL...they are NOT moving! No they really are not! But, you are not crazy.
You see, your brain is not able to focus on every aspect of the image, because it has too many corresponding sections, so it makes your eyes bounce back and forth trying to assimilate all of the visual data.

And it makes your brain subconsciously "frustrated". The more the image appears to be moving, the more you can NOT handle being under a lot of stress and pressure. So, if it is moving fast, you're not handling your stress well. If it is moving slowly, you are still in control. Whew!

It should be noted too, that people like criminals, (certainly none of my readers) and those who have very stressful jobs see the above three images as moving extremely fast, and everything is spinning crazily. Hope that's not you. If so, you need a vacation! Most senior citizens and children see them as NOT moving at all.
Just so you know...they DO move for me. The third one moves the most, but it still is pretty slow. Of course, I am not surprised, I've always known my brain was
subconsciously frustrated! :) How's yours?

Well, thank goodness they're still moving slow! I wonder how our youngest would see this. He has nystagmus so his eyes move constantly. The only time I have seen them still was right when he was coming out of anesthesia! It was wonderful.

Thank you sooooooo much for the sweet comments and the prayers. My fatherinlaw is back in the hospital, so everything seems doubled right now.

I do want to do all those things. Hug and slap! But I do know I have no control and that God is totally in charge! Thanks again!!! You are a very special person.

Slow moving, thankgoodness!!! So for the elderly they don't appear to move at all? I wonder why that is - zero stress? That's something to look forward to, ha, ha!!

They were moving for me too, but rather slowly...I'm like Jean though...I'm ready to get to the point in life where they aren't moving at all...someday, huh? :-)

Oh! Thank the Lord...Tonja...for once in my life...moving slowly is a GOOD thing...what does it mean in picture 3 when I saw some as moving but there were 2 to the left that did not move for me???...yea!!!...does that mean I'm relaxed!! Cos, I don't think I've EVER really been relaxed...well, maybe that one time after a visit to the dentist and a big dose of laughing gas...but other than that...ummm...I'm pretty much un-relaxed....I love these types of test, I find them interesting...AND there is no right or wrong answer...I don't handle being wrong, too stress!

Thanks for sharing...oh! and if you have time...please check out my blog...I have shared an exciting bit of news...coming from our daughter...but it's not a baby...well, it is kind of her baby! Check it out and let me know what you think!

I see them moving very slowly, so I guess that means I'm not completely off the deep end....yet!

Moving slowly...thank you Lord! But of course it could be because even my brain is tired.

Whew! I passed they are moving slow and if I focus for a minute I can make them stop moving. However it is early in the day maybe I should try at the end of the day. LOL!

This was SO cool, Tonja! Yes, they were moving and the third moved a little faster than the others as well. I still think I need a vacation. I'll tell my boss it was your idea. I'm sure he'll understand and recommend the Carribean or Florida!
Thanks so much for the fun today!
