NOT TODAY

" In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. " 1 Peter 5:10
**********************************************************************************
Friends, our miracle did not come today. We were prepared and ready. Alex had a new shirt, tie, and pants...and they were pressed and ready to wear. However, this was not God's time, and even though we are so disappointed, we are claiming the verse above. God does not make mistakes, nor is He late to perform His works. And even though we were ready to see a great work in Alex's life, it was not in His time. Do I think we were wrong to ask and expect a miracle? No, I think we are to be ever looking and planning for Him to step in and make things better. Am I angry, because He failed to work? Not angry, a little sad. I do have a mother's heart and want so desperately for my boy to be whole. But, I KNOW this...God cares for me and my feelings, and He cares for Alex. He WILL work His plan. And Alex will be healthy. I will stand and testify to you today that God is great and powerful and His way alone is perfect. And, though I am anxious and impatient...and want healing now, His timing is always right..

I am humbled that so many of you prayed for us with tender hearts...watching and waiting with us. Our prayers were heard and are held by the Lord Himself. Thank-you for standing with us, and offering your support. God is good and He blesses us daily with the people He chooses to put in our path. Thank you for being one of those blessings.

In His Love,

Tonja

" 'Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to them; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security." Jeremiah 33:6

1 Peter 5:10...no better scripture than this to stand on! I stand firm along with you and shout out a great big "AMEN"...Sometimes it is hard to remain steadfast...but as you said and we know God hears all our prayers...he loves each and every one of us...and he listens and cares...God sees the big picture; his timing is perfect and as hard as that may be at times it is also comforting, isn't it? I continue to pray for God's perfect timing for you and your son. Your strength and faitfullness continue to inspire me and fill my heart...through knowing you I am a better person...you are an amazing woman, mother and child of God...THANK YOU for you strength and courage. I know how hard the disappointment is...but I know your faith will sustain you...

God Bless...sweetie...and Happy Easter...it REALLY is a glorious day for all!

Blessings...
Teresa

Tonja, I am sad that our miracle didn't happen too. I know, for one, that I was diligently praying that this would happen for Alex and for all of you..and for all of us who have been praying as well, as testimony of God's power. I agree that we were not wrong to ask and EXPECT a miracle because joining together in such things builds unity and fellowship and provides encouragement...things that we all need in life. I'm sorry this wasn't in God's plan today, but you can know that there are many of us who will remain faithful in prayer.

Yes, indeed we will!! I keep asking the Lord to remember Alex, that those horrible stripes He took were for Alex. I will not stop praying. Your trust in the Lord blesses me so tremendously, Tonja.

God did hear our prayers! And we know His timing is perfect and you are such a testimony! I will continue to pray for Alex and for you....sometimes it is very hard to be the mother and watch our babies suffer.

Wow...it seems f-o-r-e-v-e-r since I've been by for a visit. I've had fun "catching up" on all your posts I've missed while away on my trip. I've enjoyed them all.

Thanks so much for visiting me too while I was away. I barely had time to do a post on my blog, so I didn't get to visit anyone. I've got so much "catching up" to do, but I'll do my best.

I'm so sorry Alex wasn't up to going to church this morning. You're so right...everything in God's time. It's so hard for us to be patient and wait. Waiting is so hard. But having faith, we know God hears us and knows our hearts. I KNOW He is using Alex (and you) and has plans for you. In the meantime, there's lots of us praying for your entire family.

Happy Easter!
Hugs!
Kat

You are so insightful. God's timing is so right and we all know how hard it is sometimes to wait on what he knows is best. I too am catching up from being gone for two weeks. Love your blog so much. Robin
