THE PATH

I love pictures like this. It leaves so much to the imagination. Where is the path going? What will you find when you get to the end? Will you joyfully go further along the path...or will you turn and come running back? Would you travel the path alone? Or walk it with a friend? Would you even walk it at all...or just stand and look and wonder?

This is a picture Ian took while in Ireland in December. I'll ask him where it leads.....till then...what do you think? What would you hope to find..?

You know what? If I were in that beautiful place, I think I'd just stand still and breathe it all in. I'd be in no hurry to go anywhere at all.

Honestly, that photo is beautiful. I assumed you found it on the web somewhere.

I love the picture! I used to do that where does the path go?......only I did where are the people on that airplane going? We live near the airport. It really looks to me like the sun is shining at the end of that path and YES, I'd go running down that path, and expect a miracle at the end!

I think there's a beautiful lake just around the bend. What a picture!

I'm with Barb - I'd just stand there and soak in the beauty.

Truth is, it winds around and ends up here.

Tonja - thanks for the 'Tuesday Morning' tip. I haven't visited there recently as last time it was such a mess, gave up looking and left empty handed for a change! Will check it out again soon - the apothecary jars sound great.

Your new banner is stunning! As for the secret looking path.......if I came across it here I must admit I'd be hesitant in following it alone. If in England it would be a lane I trotted along joyfully in childhood, searching for wildflowers, hazelnuts and early violets. I've promised myself to follow more walking trails this year - there are several near our house - but I will try to take dh or a grandchild along with me - and of course carry my cell phone!

The lovely young woman, Meredith, missing in Georgia, grew up just outside Raleigh and a vigil was held here last night. My heart is so sad knowing perhaps her walk in the woods has led to her demise. Life is often cruel making us question so much.

Well thanks, Ian! I'm here patting myself on the back since there's no one else here to do it for me, ha, ha!! What beauty!
