THIS IS JUST MY OPINION...BUT...

When I have a few moments to get on the computer, it is because I want a quiet time to catch up with friends, read a few e-mails, learn something I did not know, and yeah...listen to some music.

I have all my fav music on my computer. And according to the mood I am in, I have just the right music to accompany my thoughts.

I know that you, too, have your favorite songs to listen to. And, many of you have them playing when I go to your blog. Now, that is your blog and I have no right to stick my nose into how you run it. But, just in case you haven't thought about it, let me bring this to your attention. It is very annoying when those of us with our own music playing have to search for a place to turn off your music. And, if we can't find it, then we have to cut off ours. I will now be so bold as to ask you this. If you want music coming from your site when it is opened...would you please consider putting the music thingy up top on your sidebar so it can be found easily...so we can turn it off...and listen to our music choices...they do not sound very nice trying to play over each other...I'm just saying...

Once again, I apologize for being so bold and getting all up in your 'biz-ness.'..but, we are all friends here, aren't we? You are so kind and gracious to listen to this humble blogger's opinion. And, many other bloggers have shared the same thoughts. NOW, if this request is making you feel a little like "just who does she think she is...telling me how to run my blog...I can do whatever I like and it is none of her business. I will play music if I want to, and she can't stop me...the nerve of some people!?!"...then, "Never mind."

I agree. Personally, I don't like music playing if I'm trying to read serious stuff and concentrate. The player at the top of the blog would be nice. I usually just hit fn-mute on my keyboard to mute it.

You are too funny.

I like how the last pic looks like a two notes smiling.

I am with you 100% on this one. It's one of my pet peeves. Can't stand to have music playing when I enter a site and then have to try and search to turn it off. That's why on my blog, I have player of my favorites that you can turn on and listen to if you so desire. It doesn't automatically launch. Anyway, I'm glad you posted this!!

This is the second time you made me laugh out loud today. The other time was when I read your comment on my blog this morning - the secret message, ha, ha, ha!!

Yes, I agree, that automatic music, the minute you open someone's website, is very annoying. I too, quite often, and listening to my favorite stuff on Rhapsody or my Pandora Radio channels, while I sit here.

Oh...IF only I had this problem...you see my speakers or SOMETHING on this ole computer of mine is busted...can't listen to a darn thing...it really is frustrating at times...especially when I want to watch something online...can't do it...nope...never learned to read lips that well either...so I just have to forgo that fun all together...

Imagine my surprise last week however, while in California...I used my husbands laptop a few times...and went to a couple of sites...this was after sweet hubbin had retired to the bedroom of our hotel suite...I thought I would catch up on some blogging (you know the 2 hour time change and the whole menopause thing was working against my sleep pattern!)...and tip toed into the sitting area of the suite...to read a few of my favs. I guess hubbin had been listening to something online with the sound turned WAY up...and me not being used to having ANY sound...just about jumped through the 4th floor ceiling when I heard the music blaring out of his computer. YEP...scared the TAR right out of me...of course I'm also looking over my shoulder to see if and when sweet hubbin would be approaching me to TURN THAT THING OFF...but he never missed a snooze...yep...he just kept right on sleeping...SADLY...it took me hours to get my heart back into my chest and stop racing!

Gotta love technology...when it works...but I'm sure I would agree with you...if I had that problem...cos there isn't much we don't agree on!

YOU always crack me up!

Blessings...
Teresa

Tonja ...

Thank you for the gracious comment you left for me at Southern Lagniappe." I'm so glad it led me to your Gatherings.

I agree wholeheartedly about music on blogs. It's very distracting and a lot of times I nearly have a heart attack if my speakers are turned up and I'm not expecting it.

Thanks for giving us this opportunity to express our opinion on the subject. I thought I might be the only one who felt that way.

Sincerely,

Janie

I'm with you on this one too. It would be nice if the music thingy was up top where I could find it. I have an old commputer right now (I am hoping Santa will fix that!) and so sometimes blogs with music on them make my internet freeze for a minute or two which is doubly annoying.

Totally agree!
It would be nice if the music control were near the top so it could be turned off instantly.
I now read the blogs with the volume turned off.

I agree, too! As you know, I love music too and I usually have a song that goes with what I am thinking about on that post. That's why I am addicted to the videos that can be added to the posts. You all have the choice if you want to hear it or not. I wonder if people get sick of my videos. Oh, well... at least they aren't forced to hear it automatically! I admire you for being honest with your blog friends!
Love you,
Angie xoxo

If you are reading this and want to see how I did my music, I have set it so you can hit play to listen to music. It doesn't come on by itself and scare you to death when you go to the site. :) You make me laugh T-jator. Baby D is climbing out of crib as you know. I am off today to look for a bed. :(

That's funny..I agree. I don't necessarily have anything playing that I'd rather hear, it is just distracting to me when I'm trying to concentrate on what someone has written. Thanks for this post. Well said! :-)
