I have learned it is possible to grow through all kinds of trials. Two verses that mean a lot to me...I have thought of them often through the last week...
"Be joyful always; pray continually: give thanks in all circumstances."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
"Because of God's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

- I am a Christian woman who has survived 56 years on the planet. God has blessed me with a wonderful family: husband, 3 sons and a dear DIL. I also have dear friends to keep me inspired. I am an artist of sorts and am finding my way through the great blessing of retirement. I recently retired after 20 years as a music teacher. Life is good!

I love those verses too. Another favorite that has gotten me through some scary times is Psalm 50:23. "He who SACRIFICES thank offerings honors Me and prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God." I think sacrificing thank offerings means being grateful when it's really hard to be, but I think God loves when we trust Him enough to be thankful even when we can't see how things are going to turn out. I believe this verse says that when we do that He is so honored that He then wants to show us what a big God He is.
