HAVE MERCY !
There is a big concert going on in our area. It's called Bama Jam, and there are lots of top name country music stars performing there. I was just watching TV, and the news came on. The newscaster was talking about the huge number of people attending. They interviewed several people in attendance...and I think they looked for the tackiest women there to put on the air. Every woman interviewed was wearing a tank top. And most of them had nothing on underneath. There they were...showing off their 'girls' to anyone who cared to look. They were hanging out everywhere. Now, I have nothing against wearing tank tops. They can be very cute. But if they are as tight as can be, and cut down to 'there'...it's just not pretty. To be fair, I should tell you that it was in the 90's, and very humid. But still, there are ways to be cool and still be decent!
I am continually amazed by what people will wear out in public. Do they even look in the mirror? Or has decency just fallen by the wayside? Here is another pic that has been making the rounds lately. You've probably seen it, but in case you can't tell...she is wearing a pair of men's briefs with the crotch cut out! Can you believe that?
Before anyone says it, I'll say it first. Everyone is free to wear whatever they want. And, I think it is great to express yourself through what you wear. But, for heaven's sake...wear it at home...not in public! I don't want to see it!

I say Miss Dee Ann in the cartoon is a smart gal.
I'd go even farther than you go - - - - I'd "ban" tank tops from all females older than 10. Either they look saggy and ugly because their weight is out of control, OR they are WAY too suggestive on a shapely, beautiful girl.
Put some clothes on.
Oh - - - and don't EVEN get me started about muffin tops - - -
I couldn't agree with you more. Seems as though modesty is a thing of the past.

A big AMEN!!!!
True, true, true!!! I really do think that people do not look in the mirror anymore.
That picture of a person wearing men's underwear as a shirt is hilarious and ridiculous at the same time.
I love the cartoon picture!
I am always amazed at the things people wear. I love a lot of things, but I am smart enough to know that some things are just NOT for ME!! Some people just DID NOT GET THE MEMO. It's almost like I am embarrassed FOR them. Where I live, um, well, it's like the WORST place for fashion. You would not believe! No, really, it's like a county fair...all the time!! Gotta love a small town in NC!!!
I agree! I was taught not to let my underwear (including bra straps and the color of my bra) show when I went out. Boy, I'm sounding more like my mother everyday - she was so concerned about the length of my skirts and wearing pants when you should be wearing a dress!
Have a great weekend!
OK...the cartoon AND that picture were pretty darn funny! I do agree on the whole tank top issue...now if you are hot and you are working in your yard w/a bra on...so be it...your yard, your body, your business...BUT, to go out into public w/no bra on w/a tight little tank...not good! I mean seriously I won't step out of the house with sleeveless, much less a tank or w/o a bra....and Lord knows I HATE wearing a bra...but I do...not only for my sake...but for all those around me...I wouldn't want to disgust anyone. I did however, wear a couple of tanks in Costa Ricca...b/c I did get some sun...so I figured tan fat looked better than really white fat!! LOL
OH! and I'm w/Keetha on the muffin tops...AND have you seen the little teen tiny skirts...I mean seriously, they were probably made to fit Barbi...but gals are wearing them everywhere...and if they even so much as sniff or sneeze...we know WAY too much about them!
Great post...thanks for sharing...I can always count on you to pick winners to post about!
Blessings...

Ha-ha! Tonja, I did a post about that underwear pic too. It was too hilarious not to share.
Paint colors: Whole Wheat is one strip over from Bagel. the Bagel strip has much more orange/red in it & Whole Wheat leans towards a green undertone. I don't think I could live with Bagel, it just looks too pinky/orange to me. But, SW has some great colors to choose from all in a row.
Thanks for coming by, I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful new home!
AWWWW..I knew you'd have to say AWWWWWWWW at my boys! That's when they were sweet! I have to say that maybe the men's underwear hold them up better.....:) My girls are trying to go south too bad to EVER wear a tank top like that!!!
Amen, sister. I don't blame you for wanting to see these things :) Tank tops are for the young and fit; both criteria need to be satisfied. Where are the fashion police when we need them?
I agree with Jean...what a hoot...hilarious and ridiculous at the same time!
I'll never forget two years ago at the beach, a family of morbidly obese women came and put their stuff down beside us. They were dressed in layers, and proceeded to take the layers off,one at a time. Katie and I said to each other "stop, please, stop!!", however, they did not stop unitl they were down to BIKINIS!!! I'm not talking a litte hanging here and there, it was a lot all over the place. UGH!!! Okay, so they were comfortable in their very ample skin, I just didn't want to be forced to look at it! Great post! =)
